the topic "Valuation of Middle Market Government Contractors" at the
March 8th IMA Government Contractor Breakfast. The presentation will
cover the following:
Middle market government contractors require valuations in a variety
of situations. Examples include: (i) business combinations and
goodwill impairment testing; (ii) converting from C Corp to S Corp
status; and (iii) evaluating strategic alternatives. For a government
contractor, a sound valuation will involve analysis of financial and
nonfinancial information and consideration of both industry- and
company-specific factors. This session will provide an introduction to
the basic concepts of valuation and address key valuation trends and
drivers for government services firms.

has 15 years of assurance and consulting experience serving primarily
government services firms and technology companies. Bill is a partner
in Aronson's Forensic & Valuation Services Group, where he assists
middle market companies with complex valuation projects, including
engagements performed for financial reporting purposes, tax
compliance, and mergers & acquisitions. Bill's practice also involves
litigation and due diligence projects.
Events where you have been a presenter: Bill conducted a session at
Deltek Insight 2009 on business combinations and recently was a
panelist for a National Association of Government Contractors webinar
focusing on valuation and M&A issues. In addition, Bill has been
involved in the VSCPA's Government Contracting Initiative and has
authored several articles addressing valuation topics and the
government contracting industry.
